ATTIVA Radiofrequency is offered at BioThrive in Seattle.
Non-surgical cosmetic procedure to stimulate collagen and elastin.
What is ATTIVA?
ATTIVA is a non-surgical, non-invasive one time radiofrequency treatment for the face and body that provides visible results with little to no downtime. The radiofrequency energy triggers an immediate contraction of relaxed collagen fibers beneath the skin and initiates a biochemical response that prompts fibroblasts to generate new collagen and elastin.
HOW DOES ATTIVA WORK?
The old technology of radiofrequency consists of heating the surface of the skin long enough for the subcutaneous tissue to heat up to 43 ° Celsius. The limitation of this procedure is that applying heat to the surface of the skin increases the possibility of burns or alternatively, not getting to a therapeutic level of heat and having less than optimal results.
Attiva Subdermal Induced Heat (S.I.H) technology uses electromagnetic waves that, by passing under the middle layer of the skin, produce and generate heat, without damaging its surface.
Collagen gives the skin firmness, elasticity, and is responsible for a smooth wrinkle-free surface. As we age, collagen production declines leading to the formation of wrinkles and sagging.
Radiofrequency stimulates contraction of loose collagen fibers and fibroblasts resulting in the production of new collagen and elastin.

POST TREATMENT INFORMATION
One of the biggest benefits of the ATTIVA treatment is the minimal downtime. Possible bruising and swelling of treated area can occur. Any discomfort can be treated with over the counter Tylenol. However, if your pain is unbearable, please call our office immediately. Initial swelling and bruising can take one to two weeks to resolve, and while initial results are immediate, the final result is typically seen 3 to 4 months later due to the collagen and elastin remodeling within the skin.
